Ugly Sweaters: Their beautiful ugliness is saving my life.

HAPPY 2012!!!

So it’s been months and months of not posting but I’ve been incredibly busy with school and junk. I’m making stuff everyday which is cool.

Going into the chilly willy months brings back a ton of feelings.

It’s nice to reminisce about the nostalgia of childhood in the 90s which is super nice. But that also brings back bouts of depression.

There’s no snow in Chicago. Like, not at all. I miss the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. I’m a poor art student. Nirvana is the soundtrack to my life. And sometimes I just wanna hide in a sweater.

Fashion!!

This particular beauty I found trolling trough eBay at like 3 in the morning. It’s vintage 1980s football sweater. I don’t know ANYTHING about the footballs or who stars on their weekly show. But I just really loved the cool 8-bit video game vibes I get from it.
I have to admit. I am an eBay addict. You kind of have to be when your going to school on $0 and you don’t have a job and you still want to feel good about what you wear. There are some gems and treasures out there like this thing.
It’s like a rainbow seizure that has a nasty bi-polar disorder.
I think it’s fun to put buttons on EVERYTHING, so that’s why you see a trail of Warhol and Bettie Page buttons on my ugly sweater.
There’s a semi turtleneck thing going on, which is perfect for sticking my head inside like Angela Chase in My So-Called Life did.

I wrote about how this was my dad’s a while back but I don’t think it had its “moment”, so here it is again.

I’ll try not being so depressed and moody and all tortured artist cliche bullshit this year.
And because it is a new year, here are my predictions!
  • People are going to be much more positive or the exact opposite. But just extremely one or the other emotion.
  • FANNY PACKS ARE GOING TO MAKE A  COMEBACK!
  • Semi Precious Weapons will make a splash in 2012.
  • I’ll rob at least 2 banks.

I love Rocky Horror Picture Show! It’s my personal cult classic favorite. Beautiful time!! Always is. My brother lost his RHPS virginity to a cross dressed Dr. Frank-N-Furter who revealed to us he is a martial artist on his off days. My life is complete.

School on Halloween Day was interesting. I’m sure I pissed some kids off trying to see over my unicorn, or when I poked eyes out.

Glitter became itchy after a while. When I got home to wash my face I found out I had tiny cuts all over my eyes. ROCKNROLL.

My obsession with pop culture and rock n roll is dangerous. This is what happens when I marry two ideas together to make something almost blasphamous.

you are brave with your fashion efforts, i will actually never be that dangerous, because i am really preppy with modern sophistication, but i enjoy looking at your style. Snaps to you. I think its like an interesting art form when people try to be avant garde when expressing themselves. Keep it up, please post more and maybe i can get some ideas for halloween or a fancy dress party =D
